GISD integrates education with applied research through a structured framework: community-informed research, workforce and labor market studies, publication of findings, and policy engagement. The long-term objective is a knowledge hub connecting subject matter experts with local communities, from Virginia outward.

We invite prospective fellows, academic and institutional partners, data partners, and public agencies to work with us. Funders can sponsor a fellowship, a publication series, or a forum.
The pilot cohort runs FY2027 to FY2028 and is forming now.
